Fall Pumpkin Adventure

Sunday we were able to enjoy a trip to Helene's Hilltop Orchard in Merrill.  It's a lot of fun for Taylor now that she's old enough to enjoy the rides and playground.  Julie, Pete and Fischer came with us and it was such a nice day.  We had some great snacks, bought a lot of apples and picked up frozen apple pies!  Can't wait to eat them all!

First stop of the day was the 'Cow Train'.  It did not look that safe to me - but we took a chance.  The Dad's hardly fit in the 'cows' with the kids - but they had a blast touring around the grounds.

When they got back we had some fun in the play area.  Taylor liked playing house and of course wanted to push that pumpkin out of the window!

Next stop was to try and see some very shy goats.  Both the kids scaled the fence with help from Dad - and took a peak in side.  At least they didn't kick us out!

The best attraction was this huge slide that Taylor just loved!  I can't even believe she went down it considering I just had to rescue her from McDonald's PlayLand last month.  But she had no fear and kept running up to do it again!  We're definitely going to have to get a swing set for her next summer.

Scare Crow Taylor

While we were waiting for our hay wagon ride - Taylor relaxed in the pumpkin patch.  This was only one of 3 or 4 fields of pumpkins that were on the grounds!  She had to sit down to take a break for a while, but then perked up when both her and Fischer spotted an airplane.  When you live next to the airport you notice every airplane!  They would not cooperate for a picture together... maybe next time.

It was such a fun day.  Can't wait til next year!

New patio to enjoy!

4 Years in our house next month (It feels like we just built this place) and one of the last big projects is close to done! We finally have a patio off our kitchen. Colored, stamped, sealed and railing up all in less than 2 weeks! No steps yet to the downstairs patio - but they'll be coming next spring. Big thanks to Jason, Tom and George for helping Jesse get this done! Not bad for a couple of amateurs! I love it! But have to wait until next year to use it... At least the back yard is becoming a little more safe each year!
